About me:
Hello! I’m a 24-year-old communication designer based in Duisburg, Germany, with a fondness for illustration and visual storytelling. I was born and raised in a small village in Brandenburg and just completed my Bachelor’s degree in Communication Design at Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen.
From a young age, I was drawn to creative expression — starting with drawing and evolving into a deep interest in design. Like many creative kids, I often found myself responsible for all things visual at school. In high school, I took on the task of the design and layout of our graduation magazine (Abizeitung), which became my first hands-on experience with a complete design project. The joy I got from it only confirmed the vision I had for many years, of becoming a professional designer.
Over the past four years at university, I’ve developed a trained eye for design and built a solid skillset across various disciplines. I’m proficient in industry-standard design software and have gained hands-on experience in areas such as bookbinding, relief, riso and screen printing, ceramics, and studio photography. These experiences have shaped me into a versatile and curious creative, with a love for both digital and analog techniques.
Last year I also started a small art business and earned even more experience in producing, marketing and selling my own products.
Now, I’m excited to take the next step into the professional world—bringing my creativity, skills, and eagerness to learn into meaningful design work and collaborative environments.
